Hi Extreme Measures,

What is the difference between area certificate and summary of area?

Hi Ian,

A summary of areas is usually a chart that breaks down all of the areas in a building and the calculations required to arrive at Rentable Areas.

An area certificate is usually a letter that states one or more building areas. Sometimes it will also include a floor plan that illustrates the space in question. Area certificates are often used to support individual lease agreements.
