how would the area under an open sided canopy addition be classified?
the canopy is sheltering vehicle parking.

is this area considered tobe:
useable area?
rentable area?
part of existing warehouse building footprint area?

Hi Tony,

Only areas covered by a Permanent Roof may be included, so areas covered by a canopy are not included. Areas included under a Permanent Roof must support industrial activities as defined in the standard in order to be included. Surface Parking is specifically excluded from the standard.
