Canopy area - BOMA line

Hi there,
I have an office building that has canopies all around the perimeter of the building. Per BOMA 2010 Office Buildings, can I take my gross area line out to the canopy?

Does taking it to the drip line applies only to the BOMA Industrial Standard?

Thanks,
Sopheap

You cannot do that under BOMA 2010 Office Standard. You can measure to drip line under the BOMA Industrial Standard, Method B, but the drip line does not include the area of canopies or any other unenclosed areas.
