Area Certificaton

I am working in a building that already has a completed BOMA study by another firm. We have been asked to verify the area for each Tenant post lease and provide an "Area Certificate" that verifies the RSF is correct. I have never heard of or seen an "Area Certificate. Can anyone provide me with an example or perhaps a list of information that should be included?

Hi Daniel,

Your question is a bit outside the purpose of this forum; however, an area certificate is usually a letter that confirms the usable or rentable area of a building or a particular tenant space in a building. In addition, it normally specifies what measuring methodology or standard was used to determine the area.

Thanks,
David
