Office Building With Exterior Wall on Property Line

Amilcar Melendez

I am calculating the IGA for an office building which abuts 2 parallel property lines (zero setback). Both walls are parallel to the exterior walls of the adjacent buildings on either side. In determining the IGA, am I able to include the thickness of the wall of my building?

Hi Amilcar,

You would only include the thickness of the wall if there was a public pedestrian thoroughfare condition. In this case, you have the wall of another building, so you should measure the IGA to the inside finished surface.

Thanks,
