Common Area Maintenance (CAM)
Common Area Maintenance (CAM) refers to the charges billed to tenants to cover the costs of operating and maintaining the shared portions of a property. While BOMA standards define the physical measurement of these spaces, CAM represents the financial reconciliation of expenses (such as cleaning, landscaping, and utilities) associated operating such spaces.
