This questions pertains to BOMA 2023 for Multi-Family and Hospitality Properties, although that was not an option in the Forum Categories.
How does this BOMA standard classify the stairs/breezeway in a multifamily walkup apartment building? Does it depend on how the breezeway is constructed - for example, totally open at the ends versus a wall at the ends with an opening in it?

The stairs and breezeway would almost certainly be categorized as "Non-Living Areas" with the stairs sub-categorized as a "Major Vertical Penetration" (except at the lowest level) and the breezeway a "Service and Amenity Area."
