Can you please clarify the equation for column I? Is it using column J for the "less than or equal to" value?

Hi Julie,

I assume you are asking about Column I - "Inter-Building Areas" on the Enhanced Global Summary of Areas on page 61.

The equation "≤ C + D + E" is the sum total of Parking Areas (C), Major Vertical Penetrations (D) and Service and Public Areas (E), but you don't have to include all three of these, so we use the less than or equal symbol to indicate that. The area(s) inputted here can be any area less than or equal to the sum total of those three columns.

I hope this helps.

Thanks,
David

Hi David,

Thanks for your quick reply. Based on your response, why was the Restroom value not carried over to column I? Are these public or private restrooms in this table example?

Thanks,
Julie

Hi Julie,

The restrooms (and some other Service and Public Areas) were not carried over to column I to emphasize the point that not all of the Gross Leasable Exclusions need to be included in column I.

Thanks,
David
