Usable Square Footage

Luis Rodriguez

Good afternoon a Tenant is asking for the Usable Square Footage.
What is the measure on your tables that would match this definition?
How do I calculate it?
Thanks

Hi Luis,

The term "Usable Area" is no longer used in the standard. It can mean different things so it's hard to answer your question precisely. However, in most cases it's the "Tenant Area" column on the chart that closely aligns with "Usable Area" expectations. The Tenant Area includes only the area of a tenant's suite, within their demising walls. It may also include any Unenclosed Areas that the tenant has exclusive access to, such as balconies. Tenant Area has no load factor applied to it at all. I hope this helps.

Thanks,
David
