BOMA 2017 - In a multi-tenant (Method A) Tenant Ancillary Area vs. Floor Service Area

Doing the area takeoffs for a multi-tenant scenario, we're looking at a situation where we have a standard 'Z' corridor & extensions of the corridor beyond that in both directions up to a tenant lease line. We believe that for this version of BOMA, the 'z' corridor should be floor service area (FSA) and the extensions beyond the 'z' corridor would be counted as tenant ancillary area & be part of the occupant area because these areas will be charged back to the tenant and will fluctuate based on the lease configurations on each floor. The extended corridors are not a minimal "required" floor area needed to service that floor level. Please confirm that we are attributing this area correctly.

Hi Paul,

Your interpretation is correct.

Thanks,
