How underground storage spaces (storages located on underground levels of office buildings) are treated under BOMA 2017 standard?

I would like to ask you how underground storage spaces in office buildings are treated under BOMA 2017.

Hi Razvan,

Storage space on below-grade levels is Building Service Area if it provides storage for the building and Occupant Storage Area if it is used by a tenant. Building Service Area is part of the Rentable Area of the building whereas Occupant Storage Area is excluded from Rentable Area.
