Hi there, could you please let me know what the definition of Rentable Area is in the 1980 BOMA standards of measurement? Does this definition change for the 1996 BOMA standards of measurement?

Thanks,

Pat

The Rentable are in BOMA 1980 is essentially the usable area of each tenant plus the tenant's pro-rata share of common area on their floor. In BOMA 1996, the floor common area is proportionately allocated to each tenant area as well but also includes a proportionate allocation of Building Common Area.
