I have a question regarding a rentable space in a basement for a restaurant, the manual said that for measuring the floor rentable area "No deduction shall be made for columns and projections necessary to the building". Does the perimeter structural walls shall be consider? which will be the criteria for this.

BOMA 1996 measures the exterior walls to the vertically dominant surface on the interior side.
