Basements with no occupant spaces

A building has a basement floor with only building service areas, and no usable occupant areas. Calculating R/U ratio requires dividing by 0 which can't be done.
What should be done in this case?

Hi Tory,

The ratio should be 1.0. If you are using Excel, create an if/then argument in your formula in order to force the result to be 1 if the result is 0.

Thanks,
David
