BOMA/SIOR Industrial Guide

Key Facts

The Measure Line in the industrial standard replaces Dominant Portion in the office standard (BOMA 1996).

The standard recommends that the areas be determined according to BOMA 1996 if an industrial building is comprised of 51% or more of office space.

Mezzanines may only be considered as part of the Rentable Area of an industrial building when the mezzanine is fully finished to applicable building codes and when it is agreed by both parties (Lessor and Lessee) that it be considered Rentable Area.
